Travel Essentials – Baby Edition

Happy Monday! It’s no secret that I get antsy if a month has gone by and I haven’t been on an airplane but when you have 3 kids, traveling gets slightly more complicated (total understatement of the month). Through trial and error, I’ve come up with a list of travel essentials “baby edition” to help get me through. As the years go by, baby products have gotten more convenient AND stylish.
For example, our stroller is a complete and utter life saver AND its a total head turner. “Mommy, everyone loves my skateboard,” said Makayla McKenzie. Makayla is 4 and the boy is 7 months. They don’t quite need a double stroller but Mak is kind of slow and clumsy ( I have no clue where she gets it from) so we avoid long distance walking. Enter the Orbit Baby Stroller and Sidekick. Mak stands and rides while Maddox sits and rides. Ava walks. It sucks being the oldest sometimes.
I’m also a huge fan of baby wearing so I make sure I keep my favorite options handy. The Boba Baby Wrap
is good for the newborn stage to about 4 months old and then I moved permanently to the
. When the boy is sleepy, I strap him on facing in and start the countdown. By minute 10, he’s knocked out and I’m free to carry on as normal. Its like I’m still pregnant.
An absolute must have for the stroller is the MASSIVE storage compartment that is sold separately. When we were in San Fransisco for a week, the storage was clutch. Driving in San Fran is not ideal so Target runs were made so much easier with it. I could easily fit a 6 pack of smart water, diapers, wipes, and all the other crap that we didn’t really need from Target under there.
My final must have is our Mamas & Papas Baby Bud Booster Seat & Activity Tray
. It’s a bit bulky to pack but I can’t do life without it. The boy absolutely loves it and it’s the only way I can shower without having to worry that he has a power cord in his mouth.
If you’re going to be around in Atlanta for the Crossfit Regionals, you’ll get to see the whole thing in action. I’ve got momming down to a science.
